Artist Statement

TSE Ching Yin obtained the Bachelor’s of Arts (Hons) degree from the Academy of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2023, with media and painting being his main creative mediums. He often utilizes materials collected from everyday life, including daily photographic records or shared images, as the foundation for his creations. He incorporates the repetitiveness of life into his works and reinterprets it, observing the changes within repetition to appreciate the patterns of variability and constancy in things. He enjoys discovering interesting and shared essence between different objects. With that he pieces together his own connection with the world, and  presents it through his works.
